'Here is Gwen as I know her, listening and considering what she will say in response, just a touch of humour around the mouth and eyes.  I have emphasised the interplay of her earrings, necklaces and the decorations on her blouse, and their reflection in the light in her eyes.  Gwen has the great fortune to have come from the same part of the country as myself.'
