The works in this collection are all acrylics on paper that I had first painted with at least 3 layers of household acrylic wall paint. I was trying to paint emotions – no features or details. I’d ripped photos out of newspapers and then drew the emotions I saw. At the time I did these pieces I was living in a garage (with my cats, all rescues. I could have possibly have lived somewhere nicer if I’d had the cats put down!)
